Brazil will harvest record amount of soy-bean in 2009/10 marketing year
According to data of Brazilian analytics AgraFNP, sown area for soy beans will be increased for 380 th. ha in 2009/10 marketing year and will achieve 22,1 mln. ha. Expected harvest of soy-bean in Brazil is 61,9 mln. tons. According to estimates of analytics Celeres, sown area for soy-bean in Brazil will be 22,8 mln. ha (6,4% in comparison with indicator of 2008/09 marketing year), and croppage of oil-bearing plants will achieve 64,7 mln. tons.
We also would like to add that in 2009/10 marketing year volume of soy-bean production in Brazil will significantly increase comparing with indicator of 2008/09 marketing year (58,2 mln. tons), and will exceed record harvest of the season - 2007/08, when harvest of soy-bean was 59,7 mln. tons.
